Important note about this Sunday
Foundation Family,
I want to share with you an update regarding Sunday services on Sunday.
THIS SUNDAY
I will pause our series through the book of Mark and spend the morning preaching The Christians Response to Devastating Evil.
Our world has seen several months of turmoil and tragedy and the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk has left my heart, and many other hearts in our community, with a heavy pain primarily because he was a believer who clearly articulated the gospel and applied biblical truths in the face of a lying world.
Because of that, I think it is necessary for us to pause and look at evil, violence, and the condition of our world. This Sunday will not primarily be about Charlie or about trying to pit political preferences against one another. Instead, my hope is that we can walk through 2 Timothy 3 and use Scripture to give us hope and clarity in a world that fights violently against everything that God says is good.
The heart of the elders and Foundation staff is to pastor our people, not posture for a political party. Our first priority is leading our church so that together we can bring hope, purpose, and freedom to the Valley. We are first and foremost a church for the valley.
Parents: though the context is recent violence, this will be an all-ages appropriate teaching. I hope you will not miss this opportunity to be equipped to shepherd your children through dark days.
TWO SERVICES
As a reminder, we will have two services on Sunday, which is our new normal. We will meet at 9am and 10:30am and both services will be identical and there will be Kids Ministry at both services as well.
See you Sunday,
Brookes
